The OC Walk to Remember is a nonprofit organization that supports parents who have lost a baby in pregnancy or infancy. The mission of the OC Walk to Remember is to raise money for local organizations that support parents who have experienced miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or infant loss of any kind, as well as be a resource center for parents, doctors, nurses, hospitals, support groups, and anyone in need of support or information.

The Walk
Each October, the OC Walk to Remember event takes place in Orange County, California. We encourage parents to invite their loved ones and friends to join them as they walk in remembrance of their child or children. The walk is preceded by a memorial service, where each baby’s name is read. The memorial service is not just a remembrance but a celebration of each life, no matter how long or short. The walk is a wonderful way for parents to connect with other people who have lost a child. Whether it was a recent loss, or one that happened several years ago, we encourage parents to come walk for the steps your baby will never take. By walking in their name, their memory will live forever.

The Organization
The OC Walk to Remember is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your charitable contributions are tax deductible. Proceeds from the walk go to local hospitals and support groups, as well as national organizations. The walk has helped fund memory box programs at several local hospitals, so parents have footprints, blankets, and other items to take home following their baby’s death. In addition, cameras and photo printers have been donated to local hospitals so photos can be taken of the baby and given to the parent. We also support SHARE Pregnancy and Infant Loss organization, a national organization that helps parents all over the country who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.
