The 6th annual OC Walk to Remember will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at The District in Tustin. Please come walk the steps our babies never got to take.

New!  This year we would like to incorporate memories of your child or children in a video to be displayed during the memorial ceremony.

 

 

If you would like to participate in the video, please send a photograph of your child or of something representing your child (such as their footprints, a meaningful quote, their name, etc.) This will be shared publicly, so please be aware of that. Pictures must be high resolution. Please submit no more than 10 words. You may submit a photo and wording. 5K Walk and Memorial Ceremony

Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Memorial Ceremony begins at 8:15 a.m.

The 2010 OC Walk to Remember will benefit:
St. Joseph Perinatal Hospice, which is dedicated to supporting parents who continue a pregnancy after their baby is diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, provides nurses, social workers, music therapy, chaplain services, and many other support resources. They are there for the parents from diagnosis through the bereavement process, and the walk proceeds will help support those programs.

The Guild for Infant Survival Orange County is dedicated to serving parents and families, educating the public and professionals, and raising funds to support medical research in an attempt to eradicate Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). GISOC was established in 1975 to support families that have experienced the death of a baby to SIDS. The non-profit GISOC is the only Orange County peer support group for SIDS families.

Empty Arms Support Group at Saddleback Church is dedicated to providing care, council and encouragement in a Christian setting to parents who have suffered through the death of their baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death. 

Empty Arms Support Group at Friends Church is dedicated to providing care, council and encouragement in a Christian setting to parents who have suffered through the death of their baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death.

Healing Hearts SHARE support group Healing Hearts is a network of grieving families who have experienced the death of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal loss including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and for parents who had a much wanted pregnancy but due to medical problems were unable to continue pregnancy.

The SHARE Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support organization serves parents around the country those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life. The proceeds will help support their mission of helping families around the country.

The following hospitals will also benefit from the OC Walk to Remember:

  • Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)
  • St. Jude Medical Center
  • Saddleback Memorial Medical Center
  • Anaheim Memorial Medical Center
  • UCI Medical Center
  • Western Medical Center
  • Mission Hospital
  • Kaiser Permanente (Irvine and Anaheim locations)
